Together, we will immerse ourselves in the music of the 1970s, when dance music ruled the charts. Disco is joy, glamour, and non-stop groove—a little soul, a little R&B, and a whole lot of funk. From The Jackson 5 to Chic to KC and the Sunshine Band—in short, everything that will draw you to the dance floor.
The ideal band lineup: the holy quartet (drums, bass guitar, guitar, keyboards), brass section (saxophones, trumpets, trombones), and vocals. As a true maximalist, I would also welcome vocalists, percussionists, and even string players. If we have the instruments, we'll make it a proper band.
I can help with rhythm, harmony, and overall groove. Technically, I can advise singers and saxophonists the most, and all wind players with phrasing. I can also handle keyboards, a little less bass and drums, and unfortunately very little guitar.
You don't need to be a virtuoso, but it helps if you can pick things up by ear or from sheet music/chords. Then, of course, you just need the desire to create dance fever.

Have you ever heard the name Stevland Hardaway Judkins? Probably not, right? What about Stevie Wonder? Bingo, we all know him by his pseudonym. This living musical semi-god has been rocking the music scene for over 60 years. In this band, we will play his timeless hits, either as originals or in our own arrangements, depending on the instrumentation.
We need rhythm section: drums, bass, piano, and guitar. Want to sing some Stevie? It doesn't matter that you didn't grow up surrounded by gospel music, it doesn't matter that you're a woman, don't worry, just go for it! A horn section would also be nice. Or we can do it without vocals, just instrumentally.
I play the saxophone and piano. I can advise on chords, rhythm (groove), and improvisation.

If you are familiar with the names Rinaldo Olah or Antonín Bogar and would like to play like these legends, then you are in the right place and should continue reading. This band will focus on folk music (no Nothing Else Matters, Kabáti, or similar nonsense from Moravian cellars). We won't try to catch up with Mičkovci in terms of authenticity, nor will we drink like Kubíci, but we will play some nice Moravian standards together in tasteful or less tasteful arrangements. And beware, we will learn not to speed up!
We accept violins, violas, cellos, cimbaloms, clarinets, and require at least some knowledge of folk music and basic music reading skills.

I invite you to join a band where jazz meets funk, neo-soul, and hip-hop rhythms. Roy Hargrove and his RH Factor will be the main theme of this wave.
I'm looking for:
- piano
- any kind of horns

You close your eyes and fly to a planet where the water is purple. Everyone is extremely nice to you, and you don't find it the least bit suspicious. You take a dip in the sea, climb out onto the shore, and see the most beautiful sunset on the horizon. You open your eyes—and realize you're still in Brno, only Prince is playing on the speakers.![]()
In this band, we will explore the music of the most purple rock star on planet Earth. The most pop-oriented pop there is – this guilty pleasure will no longer be guilty! We will delve into Prince's discography and pull out the hits we like the most.
I welcome drums, percussion, bass guitar, keyboards (or synthesizers), guitars, and vocals in the band—if you play something else, no problem, I'll find a place for you.
It would be great to master at least the basics of your instrument. I can prepare sheet music for the songs we will play, but I would like to work as much as possible on playing by ear. I can help with all instruments except wind instruments (I can't get a sound out of the saxophone yet).

It is good to be able to read music and know basic chords. However, our goal will be to learn songs by heart. This is ultimately better and gives us greater freedom.

If your little one doesn't pay attention to music and doesn't care about their parents singing or the roar of engines, this is exactly what you're looking for! 100 out of 100 enthusiastic little ones recommend it!

A choir for everyone who loves to sing! Even for those who think they can't sing.
This time, let's ride the wave of mischief – the world of Tim Burton awaits us. Come with us and melt away the ordinary day with songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
You will spend time with Kačka and Markéta. The girls will sensitively guide you through the initial confusion of who sings what, where, and how, until you stand on stage and confidently sing along with the others: "This is Halloween, this is Halloween, pumpkin scream in the dead of night..." Reading music is not a requirement, but it is a nice bonus. We will meet traditionally on Wednesdays at 7 p.m., with lessons lasting 2 hours. We look forward to seeing all of you strange creatures, both living and (semi)dead! See you in the moonlight...

Pop/Rock s Vojtou _something for beginners
The band will be playing D'Angelo and PJ Morton covers. It will mainly be rhythm-based, so it would be great if interested players already knew the basics of their instrument. So, intermediate level is ideal. (Being able to read music is an advantage!) We are looking for: Drums, Bass guitar, Guitar, Keyboard, Vocals, and even a brass section would be fine (again, being able to read music is not required). If you want a little Black American music, come on over!

Want to be part of a band? Don't be discouraged by a lack of skill—we all had to start somewhere. In this band, we'll focus mainly on what's most important in music: the shared joy of playing and the connection between musicians.
I don't have any ambitions for us to be the biggest stars—I mainly want to have fun and learn something in the process. No stress about performing at the end, no pressure to be perfect. We'll just play the music we enjoy and try to understand how the individual instruments in the band work and how they interact with each other.
We will choose the repertoire together based on what you want to play. We will go down the pop/rock mainstream route – simply things that most of you know and love. Together, we will find something that suits our lineup and our abilities. Ideally, I am looking for a basic lineup: vocals, piano, guitar, drums, bass.. But if you play anything else—ukulele, violin, flute, or even triangle—feel free to get in touch. We can always figure out how to work it in.
What can we expect from each other? I can't promise to teach you all the mysteries of music (I'm just an enthusiast who is still learning). But I can help you find your place in the band, how to respond to others, and how to enjoy jamming together. I mainly play the piano and guitar (so that's what I can help with the most), I sing, and sometimes I play the cajon.
Requirements: – the basics of playing your instrument – being able to play by chords is an advantage – above all, a desire to enjoy playing together and learn something new.
For me, music isn't about being the best—it's about being together with people who share the same passion. When we get together, it can be a great experience. And we'll definitely have a laugh and get to know each other.
This band will not be performing at the Show Off concert. Firstly, we don't have room in the program, and secondly, we don't want to stress you out unnecessarily.
